LG's have good reviews... so I bought an LG. New technology? I am not sure I like it.The solenoids that shut the machine on and off to put water in the tub are so strong or maybe I should say so SHORT in working duration... (to keep the load balanced) that they vibrate some of the pipes in my house. (Why so short? I don;t know. My old front loader put water in continuously and it never had a problem. If it is due to such little water being used... the technology is ridiculous.) A friend said i might need a plumber evaluation due to air in the lines. But this is just what i wanted to do after paying a lot of $$ for a new washer.Another issue: A short cycle is 15 minutes... really.?.. all other cycles are 55+ minutes. A cycle that short is ludicrous or else the long ones are. NO cycles of 30 or 35 minutes? My question is... what the heck is going on for an hour? A wash of 15 vs. 55 minutes... the choice is questionable. If you can wash a small load in 15 minutes..why are all the rest so long. Clearly these new washers need some explanation. Good luck people. OH and for those of you who want a top loader... it was explained to me they are just side loaders with the lid on top. Same technology.I really don;t have much to say for LESS water or (lower wattage light bulbs?. Halogen are also toxic. No better than fluorescent. Where are my filament light bulbs? Craziness.) I will update this post if I ever figure out whether the machine is MORE or LESS than 3 stars. - By JUST a READER
