I've had my energy-efficient, extra-large washer (FAFS4174NW) and dryer (FASG7073NW) for a year and a half now; got my pair on sale for about $854 each then. I'm a careful shopper, did my research diligently, and can definitely say they're worth every penny. Can't beat all the bells and whistles--it meets all our needs. There are 15 automatic wash cycles, including normal, heavy, delicates, hand wash, casual, bedding, jeans, kids wear, pet beds, sanitize, quick sanitize, stuffed animals, quick cycle (20 minutes), rinse & spin, stain pretreat (a 10-minute special soak cycle). The start of any wash cycle can be delayed for up to 20 hours.
As to the dryer, it has 10 automatic drying cycles, varying from delicate to heavy duty, plus air dry, a 25-minute quick dry, add-steam (to remove wrinkles and refresh clothing), sanitize and more. Other features include a wrinkle-release option that continues tumbling the load without heat after the drying cycle has ended; an add-steam option to remove wrinkles and refresh clothing; and a 25-minute quick-dry cycle.
